Join self-confessed Scrabble junkie Todd Kreisman as he embarks on a journey within the online Scrabble community.
He was challenged to play 10 opponents of increasing ability, from Jorge (ranked 1065) all the way up to Maria (ranked 1940).
Along the way he wrote down every single move he made, every word he played, and exactly what he was thinking when he made that move, and why he did it.
It's like being inside his head as he plays!
And Todd even made some surprising discoveries about himself with the rapid improvements he made in just 10 short games.
Will you take the 10 game challenge?

Since there are so few Scrabble books, it's a low bar to clear. I enjoyed this book very much. The concept is the author goes through a series of games he played with opponents of varying strength, from easier to more difficult opponents as the book moves on. He goes through his through process from move to move. I find this to be an effective way of teaching games of skill, and it's entertaining as well. Many Scrabble books feature word lists, which is a necessary skill, but about like watching paint dry in terms of being interesting to read. This book has very little in the way of lists (not necessary, since lists are handled by other books), and has material which is fun to read.

Scrabble Strategy The Secrets of a Scrabble Junkie edition by Todd Kreisman Richard Loxley Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
It was a gift. She said she liked it.
My wife really likes the helpful info!!
Thank goodness people become so intrigued by Scrabble that they offer advice to those of us who are trying to play against experts. I keep this by my computer.
Brilliant book.
I enjoyed the author's methodical review of various scrabble strategies. It definitely helped improve my game.
I've been playing Scrabble on my Fire, usually winning at intermediate level. I got this to see if I could up my game. I now pretty much never lost. Advanced is still beyond me and I think that's just about where this book can take you. It improves your strategy quite a bit. But there's no substitute in knowing words that no one ever uses in real life. I'm not interested in going there.
The book presents strategy in a very palatable way by author recapitulating games against increasingly strong opponents. As each game progresses the author gives ideas about how to play.
It's a good book to learn basic strategy
This has been an indispensable treasure trove of useful strategies for me. Going through games the author has played against increasingly adept players, pointing out good moves as well as mistakes made by both sides has been very helpful in improving my game
